Are Oil Rich Arab Countries Vertically Integrating?
by waseem on Jun.24, 2009, under Uncategorized
The state of Qatar has been eying a stake in either Porsche or VW, and the emirate of Abu Dhabi has recently bought a stake in another automaker, Daimler. Both Qatar and Abu Dhabi are oil rich. With this in mind, one has to ask himself these questions:

- Will these acquired automakers be forced to make less fuel efficient cars?
- Are these acquisitions purely targeting “luxury” brands?

Google Street View Car Spotted in Montreal, Quebec, Canada!
by waseem on Jun.02, 2009, under Uncategorized
Google’s Street View car has arrived in Montreal! While biking down Avenue De l’Hotel-de-Ville in the Plateau-Mont Royal area I spotted an Ontario license plate car that had the now infamous 360° Google camera mounted on top of it. The car also had a Dell PC monitor in the front passenger seat. I took a photo of the car, which I’m including in this post.

Click here for the approximate location of the car.
