Both Qatar and Abu Dhabi are oil rich. With this in mind, one has to ask himself these questions:

  1. Are oil rich Arab countries vertically integrating?
  2. Will these acquired automakers be forced to make less fuel efficient cars?
  3. Are these acquisitions purely targeting “luxury” brands?

While biking down Avenue De l’Hotel-de-Ville in the Plateau-Mont Royal area I spotted an Ontario license plate car that had the now infamous 360° Google camera mounted on top of it. The car also had a Dell PC monitor in the front passenger seat. I took a photo of the car, which I’m including in this post.
