Both Qatar and Abu Dhabi are oil rich. With this in mind, one has to ask himself these questions:

1. Are oil rich Arab countries vertically integrating?
2. Will these acquired automakers be forced to make less fuel efficient cars?
3. Are these acquisitions purely targeting “luxury” brands?
